Around the allotment today got some sprouts and parsnips for dinner

Autumn raspberries cut down and top dressed with compost as they do like a slightly acid soil
We are eating a good amount of leeks they have been good this year variety Lyon
My row of broad beans looking good also these are autumn sown aqudulce variety a white coloured bean some people prefer the green bean pods I will be sowing these in Feb variety will be an old favourite Bunyards exhibition
Not all vegetables these are sweet William for cut flowers for the house

Some celeriac and turnips awaiting the pot these will keep outside until needed and chard will grow fresh leaves in the spring before going into flower

Horticulture mad volunteer for a local Sprowston Glasshouse Growers Project also with a group of young who wish to learn how to grow plants also widened our growing production to involve a Sensory garden at the Sprowston Library .We have also completed a small heritage fruit orchard in Sprowston growing a number of rare varieties local to Norfolk The project also helps with teaching gardening skills young and old and we have areas which have been taken in wildflower border, sensory garden, also a free patch which people can help themselves on a barter operation called GROW FREE
